Friends of the Angeles commits to supporting, building and leading community-based organizations and coalitions to address priority needs of the Angeles National Forest, including the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument. Working in partnership, the Friends help to:
|
Our collaborative effort will result in tangible improvements to infrastructure (e.g., signage, interpretation, education, roads, trails, facilities) and intangible benefits (e.g., habitat connection between built and natural environments) for our diverse Southern California community – so that the inherent value of these lands are protected, conserved, enjoyed and valued by both today’s users and by future generations.
Those that are new to the mountains will become engaged; those that are existing partners will strengthen their support – whether it’s by being a more responsible forest visitor, volunteering, donating, being active in a Friends or other User group, supporting a nonprofit, or using their influence with connections to civic, corporate, or government organizations.
